Designed with Purpose
When I was a student at Wake Forest University, my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer. Watching her go through surgery and recovery changed the direction of my life in ways I never expected. I saw how hard it was to find something as simple as a bra that was actually comfortable, supportive, and designed for what her body was going through.
That's where Three Strands began.
What started as an idea became years of work—talking with patients, learning from physicians, and continually going back to the drawing board to make the Resilience Bra better. It took years and many iterations to create something we truly believed could make a difference.
Over time, we realized the need extended far beyond breast cancer. Today, the Resilience Bra is helping patients recovering from breast cancer, cosmetic procedures, and cardiac surgery.
The most meaningful part of this journey has been knowing that something I created because of my mom has gone on to help so many other people through their own recovery. Every time I hear from a patient who tells us the bra made her feel more comfortable, more confident, or simply made one part of a difficult day a little easier, I'm reminded of why we started.
I'm incredibly proud of how far Three Strands has come, but I know we're just getting started. There are so many more patients we hope to reach, and so much more we want to do to make recovery a little easier.
